About me

I am a PhD student at the Institute of Information Security (ISEC) at Graz University of Technology, advised by Prof. Stefan Mangard. I expect to graduate in spring 2027.

Research interests

I am a security researcher focusing on improving runtime security through novel hardware-based mechanisms. One of my main research topics is the combination of memory integrity protection with tagged memory architectures. I explore how synergies between these technologies can provide more efficient and stronger tagging, while still allowing for error detection and correction. I published multiple works towards this research direction. My other areas of interest cover: memory safety, side-channel detection and mitigation, and Rowhammer attacks and mitigations.

My authored and co-authored papers have been published at top-tier venues such as USENIX Security, IEEE S&P, and ACM CCS. See publications for the full list.

Background

I received my BSc (2019) and MSc (2021) in Information and Computer Engineering from Graz University of Technology, both with distinction. My master’s thesis on DRAM integrity protection and Rowhammer mitigation contributed significantly to CSI: Rowhammer and received the Student Research Excellence Award and the WKO Research Stipend.

Besides research, I teach the Secure System Architecture course and the practicals of Information Security and Computer Organization and Networks at Graz University of Technology. In 2025, I received the Distinguished Artifact Reviewer Award at USENIX Security. See my teaching page and CV for details.
